I would like to share my interview experience and the selection process of TCS.
I appeared for the TCS Future Forward Careers National Qualifier Test (NQT) on
18th Jan, 2020. It was a national level aptitude test. It had five
sections - Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning,
Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Interpretation. There were 50 Qs that had to be solved in 50 minutes. Practicing
questions from IndiaBix.com was very helpful. I received my results on 31st
Jan and was extremely happy about getting selected for the interview.
My interview was scheduled on 24th Feb, 2020. There were three rounds - HR, Technical, and Managerial round.
The HR round was the most important round. We were given a general topic
and had to express our views on it for a minute. It was a JAM round
(Impromptu).
The Technical round was completely based on my resume and I was asked questions
about my graduation course, projects, my strengths, etc.
The Managerial round was conducted in a telephonic mode at the venue itself and I
was asked about my educational background, my long term goals, my
weakness and whether I had any issues working during weekends or in
night shifts.
After the three rounds of interview, the results were declared that day itself, which I think was the best part.
I successfully cleared all the rounds and got selected.
Tips and Suggestions:-
1. Reach the venue in time, dress up in formals and carry all the necessary documents.
2. Every round of interview will be an elimination round. So, you should give your best in every round.
3. Answer all the questions with confidence. They mainly test your self-confidence and language skills.
4. Stay calm as this is just an interview and not the end of your dreams and goals.
5. Have patience while going through the entire process as hundreds of candidates come for the interview on a single day.
Hope this helps.
All the best!
